MEMPHIS Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Ima Ruth was born October 13, 1928 in Lakeview to James and Jewel Gowdy. She attended and graduated from Lakeview. She was married to Billy Joe Murdock and he preceded her in death, and later married Bobby T. Hancock and he later preceded her in death. She had been a longtime resident of Memphis where she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis and also Club 51. She also volunteered at the Memphis Meals on Wheels. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her parents; her husbands; and a son, Robin Kent Hancock. SURVIVORS - 3 sons, Gary Wayne Murdock and wife Sheran of Canyon, Johnny Glen Murdock of Montana, and Danny Joe Murdock and wife Keli of Memphis; a daughter, Elizabeth Kay Murdock of Tucson, Arizona; 2 brothers, Ronnie Gowdy of Amarillo and Ernie Gowdy of Bronte; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - The family requests memorials be sent to Hall County EMS in Memphis.
