Ida Frances Turner Noble's Obituary
CLAUDE SERVICES - 2:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2008 in the United Methodist Church in Claude with Rev. Janet Edwards, Pastor, officiating. INTERMENT - Claude Cemetery in Claude. Mrs. Noble was born December 26, 1929, in Odell, Texas to Alford and Edna Mae Wrather Turner. She married J.W. Noble on June 5, 1949 at Erick, OK. She had been a resident of Amarillo before moving to Claude in 1979. She had been a 4th grade teacher for 22 years. She taught at River Road School District for 11 years and Claude ISD for 11 years. She raised her kids first before achieving her bachelor’s degree from West Texas State University. She was a master quilter, had a green thumb, crocheted, and loved sewing. She helped her husband with farming and ranching for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Claude. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; 1 brother and 2 sisters. SURVIVORS - her husband, J.W. Noble of Claude; a son, Mark Noble of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Nancy McNeer, & Sharon Haffey and husband Rex all of Amarillo; a brother, Travis Turner and wife Betty of Erick, OK; a sister-in-law, Fern Turner of Sayre, OK; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Noble and wife Sarah, Amy Nailling, Amber Haffey, and Steven Haffey; and 1 great grandchild, Jason Nailling. MEMORIALS - The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Claude EMS. VIEWING WILL BE HELD FROM 11AM-7PM SATURDAY, & 12PM-5PM SUNDAY AT CLAUDE.
