Coleman Huffman's Obituary
Coleman Huffman Jr. passed away September 9, 2015 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 93. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty Geraldine Huffman. "Colie" as his friends and family called him, grew up in Clarendon, Texas and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After completing his military service Colie attended Texas College of the Mines in El Paso, "UTEP", and played football for the Minors. Football became his passion for the next 41 years. He became one of the most successful high school football coaches ever to coach in the panhandle of Texas. Coach Huffman holds the honor of being a member of both the Top of Texas Coaches Hall of Fame and the Texas High School Coaches Hall of Honor. He is survived by his three step children; Penny Hart of Amarillo, Paul Hart of Midland, and Phil Hart of Dallas. His four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2015
