Henry Pollard Payne's Obituary
Henry ”Buddy” Pollard Payne, 86, of Shamrock passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Shamrock.
Services will be Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, Shamrock, with Cottie Tarbet, officiating.
Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery, Shamrock, TX.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Henry was born June 22, 1933 in Moorehead, Mississippi to Henry and Mary Lowe Payne. He married Gracie Guzman Segura on May 11, 2014. Henry had lived in Shamrock most of his life. He loved to travel, loved football, working and telling jokes. Henry was very old fashioned and touched many peoples heart. He loved watching westerns; especially John Wayne. He did concrete work for a lot of buildings in Shamrock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Lucy Payne; a son John Payne; a brother Frank Payne and three sisters Dale Alexander, Nita Richards and Bula Ann Glenn.
He is survived by his wife Gracie of Shamrock; 2 step-sons Junior Rangel of Sayre, OK and Ben Rangel of Shamrock; a step-daughter Jovita Butler of Shamrock and a sister Jimmy Lois Hall of Mobile, Alabama. 9 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
