I'm so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I always enjoyed my time in Wheeler and Wellington working with him. Calvin would invite him to lunch after he retired, and it was always good to see him. He was a good friend, coworker and conservationist.
I love Fred, He and I started working at the FSA/NRCS around the same time and then came Calvin. We had fun working together, especially break time. RIP Fred. I love you
I will always remember the summers in Abilene - working on cars and trucks till they "ran like a spotted ape" as Freddy use to say, going on countless coon hunts and coming home smelling like old hounds. You will be missed uncle Freddy!
