C.E. and Helen "adopted" me as their kid when their son Tex went away to college because I lived next door and liked to visit them. What a blessing to be part of the long, loving legacy of being one of Helen's "kids." Tex and I are both only children and being neighbors who became family was a divine gift from God. Helen was such a great role model to me and my children. She always maintained a positive attitude about anything in her life. She would often start a sentence with "I tell you what that was the BEST..." as she would describe a sermon, food, car, house, etc. No matter where Helen lived or worked or attended church - she had "her kids." I am disappointed that I will not be able to join all the kids to honor her in person. We rejoice knowing that she is reunited with C.E. in heaven. She missed him so much. She was grateful everyday for C.E. and how hard he worked and how good he was to her. They raised a son who reflects all those amazing qualities of his parents and cared for them so well. We send our love and prayers to all the "Welch kids" and family. Love, Donna Ripple Courville and family
