Graveside services will be Thursday, September 29th, 2022, 2:00 PM in Locker Cemetery in Locker, San Saba County, Texas with Tim Crosby, officiating.

"Bos" was born in Brownwood, TX on July 6, 1935, to T.M. and Opal (Cochran) Sofge. Bos grew up on a farm in San Saba County near the community of Locker. He had two older brothers Glenn and Trevel, and older sister Lou Era. Bos also had a younger sister, Utonia, and the two of them covered a lot of ground in a day. She became ill leaving him to cherish her memory. Which he did and spoke of the times they were into mischief. He grew up working hard on the family farm. He graduated from San Saba High School in 1954.
He left the farm to pursue other job interests in Brownwood. He met Corinne Turner, they married and had three children. Bos had a good career in construction and as a heavy equipment operator. After working in Granbury many years, when the lake was finished and the loop around the town completed, he moved to Richland Springs. He lived there for many years, working in the area. He became a licensed spray applicator. A job he loved.
He felt the need to move again. The Childress and Panhandle area peaked his interest. He met Rose Contreras and they were married in 2005. They were together until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and sisters.
Bos is survived by his three children: daughter, Carolyn Hogan and husband, Justin, of Abilene; son, Timothy of Dallas; and daughter, Lea Ann Sofge-Economo and husband, Paul, of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his grandson Doug Adams and wife, Candys, of Santa Anna, TX; granddaughter, Brandi Adams-Johnson of Abilene; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; several step-grandchildren that loved their Paw Paw Bos as though he were their own; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends that loved him dearly.
Pallbearers will be Doug Adams, Zeke Adams, Randy Martin, Ricky Mckinnerney, Macy Ledbetter, and Regan Maxey.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local volunteer fire department in your area. As his children, we would like to thank all the friends that have met our Daddy and loved and cared for him. Thank you.
