Harold "H.L." Leonard Owens' Obituary
H.L. Owens, 60, of Wheeler died Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Wheeler.
Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Cornerstone Church in Wheeler. Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Viewing will be held Monday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
H.L. was born August 18, 1960 in Vernon, Texas. H.L. worked for J.D. Henderson Trucking and for Wheeler County from May 12, 1989 until the time of his passing. He was a volunteer firefighter, and had served on Wheeler Volunteer Fire Department from 1982 until 2014. He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and Nascar. H.L.'s hobbies included going to Red River with friends, softball, golf, horseshoes, and cornhole. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dena Brown; and two sisters, Debra Faye Brown and Tammy DeAnn Owens.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Albright of Wheeler; his sons, Dallas Owens of Wheeler and Clayton Owens of Oklahoma City; his daughter, Carley Dampier and husband Cole of McLean; his brother, Roger Brown and wife Mandy of Wheeler; his sisters, Kathy Lane and husband Dewayne and LaDena Taylor all of Wheeler; Nine grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family request memorials be sent to the Wheeler Volunteer Fire Department.
