Harold Lee Gray passed away into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 4th 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born March 15th 1951 in Borger, Texas to John and Wilda Gray. Harold worked last as a measurements engineer with Alyeska Pipeline Co. in Valdez, Alaska. Many times Harold told of the beauty of Alaska, the great fishing, many, many friends he made there. These wonderful people became like family to him and kept the long winters filled with great stories and strong friendships only an Alaskan can understand. Harold had a sweet little guy with him that gave unconditional love; his name was Govenor, an English bulldog, nicknamed “Govy.” For all you great folks in Alaska may God Bless you all for friendships and loving kindness. You know who you are and be assured; you blessed all our lives, not just Harold’s. Dick, you of all people have gone above and beyond the call of duty. You offered shelter and a place to call home while Harold lived temporarily in Oklahoma City, many hours of conversation, love and advice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE- two children, Tara Burkholder and husband Ryan & David Gray and wife Melyn; 2 granddaughters, Aidan & Kaelyn; a sister Patricia Gray Gonzalez and husband Ernest; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
