SERVICES – 4:00 pm Saturday, August 29, 2015 in First Baptist Church in McLean with Rev. Wendell Knutson and Mike Maxwell, officiating. INTERMENT-Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Casper was born January 27, 1935 in McLean to Riley and Effie Mae Smith. He married Flora Jean Simpson on June 1, 1960. He had been a lifetime resident of McLean and worked for the US Postal Service for 43 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the McLean Lions Club and First Baptist Church in McLean and a former member of the Jaycees. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing volleyball. He was heavily involved and was a supporter of McLean Tigers Athletics. He loved watching his grandkids play sports. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Elvis Presley, John Wayne movies, and country music. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; 3 brothers, Larry, Freddy, and James Smith; and a great granddaughter, Skye Story. SURVIVORS- his wife, Jeanie Smith of McLean; a son, Spooky Smith of McLean; 3 daughters, Robin Smith and Shawn Hollis of Amarillo, Tami Story and husband Mike and Wendi Ketcherside and husband Jason all of McLean; 3 brothers, Hershel Smith of Lelia Lake, Arvin Smith of Colleyville, and Warren Smith of Pampa; 2 sisters, Sadie Green of McLean and Helen Anderson of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to McLean Athletic Booster Club or BSA Hospice.
