Guadalupe Garza Ruiz, 81, of Shamrock, TX passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 in Shamrock at the age of 81 years 3 months 2 days. A family-directed Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Shamrock High School Auditorium.
Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Guadalupe Garza Ruiz was born December 12, 1943. He married Petra Arismendez at the age of 22. This may would been 60 years. He lived in Shamrock most of his life where he raised his 4 daughters. He worked for Coca-Cola for almost 25 years. He was a truckdriver and drove for C & H Supply. He also worked for Kenneth Roscoe as a mechanic. He was a member of Jehovah’s witness congregation and served as an elder for several years. He was a loving, caring and dedicated husband. He adored his children and grandchildren. He was the type of a man who would have given his shirt off his back to anyone. He had a smile a mile wide. He will be greatly missed and loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Paulina Ruiz. His brothers and sisters Felipe Ruiz, Eloy Garza, Uriel Garza, Yolanda Garcia, Mary Garza, Nancy Garza, Abelarado Lalo Ruiz and Anna Ruiz.
He is survived by his wife Petra Ruiz and a sister Elva Guajardo. Children: Lucy and Kelly Burrell, Jo Ann and Brandon Lewis, Pauline Martinez and Sandy Armstrong. Grandchildren; Jon Walker, Joushua and Rebecca Lewis, Kayla Lewis and Marcus Menefield, Matthew and Jennifer Ruiz, Chris Hosack, Luke and Kylie Lindsay, Jerra Speed, Kelleena and Nathan Duran, Louringna and Will Atteberty, Jennifer Banks, Justin and Novi Burrell. He has 38 great grandchildren.
