Guadalupe "Lupe" Galvan's Obituary
Guadalupe “Lupe” Galvan, 65, of Memphis, died on Friday, May 3, 2019 in Memphis.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Lupe was born September 13, 1953 in Lubbock to Sylvestre and Teresa Gonzalez Trevino. She married Jaime Galvan on May 26, 1972 in Hereford. She had been a resident of Hereford and Grand Prairie before moving to Memphis in 2016. She had taught Bible Class at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hereford and had volunteered at the schools while at Grand Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Sylvestre Trevino, Jr.; and a sister, Laura Trevino.
Survivors include her husband, Jaime Galvan of Memphis; her mother, Teresa Trevino of Hereford; 3 daughters, Virginia Galvan Avila of Grand Prairie, Sonya Veronica Galvan of The Colony, Texas, and Belinda Luna of Memphis; 2 brothers, Raymond Trevino of Hereford and Ricardo Trevino of Bear, Nebraska; 2 sisters, Catherine Campos of Bayard, Nebraska and Mary Callepana of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
