Guadalupe Chavera, 57, of Memphis, died on Friday, August 23, 2019 in Memphis.
Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis with Father Nick Gerber, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Rosary will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Robertson Funeral Directors in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Guadalupe was born on March 25, 1962 in Taylor to Victor and Francisca Cardona Garcia. She married David Chavera on January 2, 1980 in Memphis. She was a lifetime resident of Memphis, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with friends and volunteering at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers Richard Garcia, Catarino Moreno, and Luis Moreno; and 1 sister Maria Torres.
Survivors include her husband; 1 son David Chavera Jr. and wife Selina of Memphis; 2 daughters Cecelia Carter and husband Graham of Buda and Yvonne Martinez and husband Alejandro of Memphis; 3 brothers Victor Garcia Jr., Pedro Garcia, and George Garcia; 5 sisters Frances Garcia; Armendina Garza, Pauline Garcia, Florence King, and Rosemary Busby; and 10 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be sent to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis.
