CLAUDE SERVICES- 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the United Methodist Church in Claude with Rev. Janet Edwards, Pastor, & Rev. Gene Weinette, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Stratford, officiating. INTERMENT - Claude Cemetery in Claude. Geraldine “Jere” Gilbert Eisenhaur was born August 3, 1933 to Josephine and Jack Gilbert in Claude, Armstrong County, Texas. She was the youngest granddaughter of Lula and Miles Oliver and Alice and Charles Gilbert early settlers of Armstrong County. She had always been proud to be a native of Claude. She married Charles D. Eisenhaur on September 1, 1949 in Pampa, Texas. They worked together in the trucking and custom harvesting business until his illness and death in May 1994. Together they raised two children. Since Charles’ death her life has been consumed by her four important passions: Her Lord, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and her Navajo family. She was adopted into the Honigahni Clan in October 1999. She had strived to follow Jesus' example by reaching out, loving her neighbor, appreciating her heritage, & being committed to her church. She was proud of her town of Claude. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her husband, in 1994; her daughter, Lindy Jo in 1964; her father in 1953; her mother in 1990; and a beloved cousin, Wilbur Cobb in 2003. SURVIVORS INCLUDE- a son, Dan Eisenhaur and wife Irene of Claude; a daughter, Kathy Miller and husband Warren of Claude; 2 brothers, Miles Gilbert of Showlow, Arizona, & Oliver Gilbert of Mesa, Arizona; 9 grandchildren, Jami Joyce and husband Mike, Joi Montgomery and fiancé Jamy Akins, Wade Miller, Jennifer Leonard and husband Matt, Kimber Eisenhaur, Jason Eisenhaur, Amanda Warden, Rick Warden, & Sara Warden; 13 great grandchildren, Matt, Madison, Dominick, Mitch, Bailey, Macie, Morgan, Anika, Shamara, Britten, Mykenzi, Caitlyn, & Ben.
