Gerald Hill's Obituary
AMARILLO GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo with Rev. Darrell Burton, officiating. INTERMENT- Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Hill was born July 22, 1927, in Sulpulpa, Oklahoma to Fred Hill & Millie Spears Bates. He had been a resident of Amarillo since the mid 1940’s before moving to Claude in 2003. Mr. Hill was a distribution warehouse supervisor for Affiliated Foods and was also a sheet metal worker. Gerald loved spending time out in his yard. The family would like to thank Palo Duro Nursing Home for the loving care shown to Mr. Hill. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - His parents; a brother Kenneth Bates; and a sister, Velma Dunn. SURVIVORS - a daughter Melissa Hill and husband Glen of Groom; 3 brothers, Harold Bates of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Carol Bates of Batesville, Arkansas, Doyle Bates of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be sent to a local hospice care facility of choice.
