Gene Keelin's Obituary
Gene Keelin, 73, of Wheeler died Monday, July 15, 2019 In Wheeler.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in the Wheeler Cemetery with Erron Mercer, officiating. Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Gene was born November 12, 1945 in Wheeler to Travis and Rosalie Keelin. He married Norma Kay McNeil on June 7, 1964 in Muleshoe. He had been a lifetime resident of Wheeler and was a mechanic for Ware Chevrolet prior to his retirement. He loved fishing, gardening, playing guitar with his buddies and playing with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Keelin of Wheeler; a son, Daniel Keelin of Wheeler; 2 daughters, Kara Delgado of Amarillo and Tracy Brownfield and husband Tanner of Wheeler; 3 brothers, Jimmy Keelin of Briscoe, Jerry Keelin of Pampa, and Joey Keelin of Pasadena; 2 grandchildren, Tala and Clementine Brownfield; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that donations be made to the MDS Foundation.
