Gaylyne Martha Manns' Obituary
With broken hearts, the family would like to announce that Gaylyne Martha Manns, 60, unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus on May 8, 2024.
Gaylyne worked for the Boys Scouts of America, for 21 years. She began as the Para Pro for the Santa Fe District in the Golden Spread Council and then moved, in July 2014, to the Adobe Walls District as their District Executive. She loved Scouts and devoted her life to helping young men and women gain their Eagle Scout Rank.
She lived in Mclean Texas with her husband, John of 32 years. They have two children and four “almost” precious grand kids. She enjoyed camping in their camper (after all those years in scouting, she no longer did the tent thing anymore). She loved porch sitting and spending time with her husband and spoiling their grand kids.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Erma Boyd, her father-in-law John Manns, her brother, Michael Boyd, her brother-in-law Eddie Patterson, and her sister-in-law Sandy Kelley. She is survived by her husband, John Manns, her son Stormy Manns, her daughter, Carisa Foreman and husband Chris, 2 brothers Charlie Boyd and wife Cindy, Landy Manns and wife Dana, three sisters Karon Patterson, Eula Utsey and husband Barry, Lesa Manns, forever brother, Wesley Rains, daughter in-law Bailey Manns, 4 grandchildren, Hudson, Cody, Cole and Creed, numerous nieces and nephews, and a plethora of scouts.
Her celebration of life will be on her 61st birthday, May 13, 2024, at 2 pm at McLean Methodist Church, in McLean TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Golden Spread Council.
