Gary Thomas Arnold Mays' Obituary
Gary Thomas Arnold Mays, 66, of Clarendon died Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Amarillo.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the First Baptist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Lance Wood, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Gary was born October 15, 1951 in Groom to Eureda and Marva Lee Thomas Mays. He married Geneva Molder on February 14, 1971 in Lelia Lake. He had been a lifetime resident of Clarendon where he had farmed. He went to College several times but could fix absolutely anything. He and his mother Eureda ran the print shop for several years. He loved to do photography, camping, farming, and riding his motorcycle. Gary was very easy to talk to, was a big family man, and loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Mays; and 3 infant sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Mays of Clarendon; 3 sons, Gary Wayne Mays and wife Becki of Claude, Logan Mays and wife Misty and Aron Mays and wife Amanda all of Clarendon; 2 sisters, Lori Mays of Clarendon and Mae Hill of Clarendon; a brother, Johnny Mays and wife Loraine of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggest memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
