Gary Don Forrester's Obituary
Gary Don Forrester of Wheeler, TX passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Pampa, TX at the age of 62. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Wheeler Church of Christ in Wheeler, TX, with Garrett English officiating.
Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Gary Don was born January 26, 1961 in Borger, TX to Edward Doyle Forrester and Patricia (Cosper) Forrester. He spent most of his childhood in Fritch, TX, as well as Spearman and White Deer. The family moved to Wheeler in 1969, where Gary graduated from high school in 1982. After graduating, he began doing carpentry work. He moved to Austin to work, later moving to Broken Arrow, OK, where he spent many years. Gary returned to Wheeler 5 years ago. In addition to carpentry, he enjoyed watching football, especially OU and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a very good cook and volunteered during the summer cooking at youth camp. He attended the Wheeler Church of Christ.
Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto and Esther Forrester and Robert and Ruby Cosper; his cousin, Bruce Dan Cathey; and his uncle, Glen Forrester.
Survivors include his parents, Edward and Patricia Forrester of Wheeler; 2 children, Ruby Deann Forrester and Garyson Forrester, both of Cleveland, OK; one brother, Curtis Forrester and wife, Sherrie, of Carrollton, TX; his aunt, Janette Cathey of White Deer, TX; his cousin, John Cathey of Texas; 4 nephews, Jared Forrester of Carrollton, Jason Forrester and wife Cheyenne, of North Carolina, and Jake Forrester and John Forrester, both of Carrollton; and numerous other loved ones.
