Gabriel "Gabe" Everett Parson's Obituary
MEMORIAL SERVICES- 2:00 PM Friday, October 31, 2014 in Heald United Methodist Church in Heald with Rev. Thacker Haynes, officiating.

Gabe was born September 29, 1938 in Eldorado, Texas to Joe Allen and Brentice Elizabeth Parson. He married Cora Lee “Cozy” Hodges on December 31, 1992 in Amarillo. Gabe grew up in Rising Star and later attended Kress High School. He had been a butcher at Amarillo and Lamesa before moving to Clovis, New Mexico and later decided to open K-Bob’s Steakhouse in 1966 and had multiple locations throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico. He had been a resident of McLean since 1993 and in 1997 Gabe started Red River Steakhouse and sold it in 2003. In 2011, he then opened the Wildflower Market in McLean. Gabe also raised 300 head of Corrientes and they were all branded with the double 6. He was a member of the North American Corriente Association. In 2010, for 3 years Gabe and Cozy hosted Circle of Friends where they served hundreds of people. You would have never met a better man in your life.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; a son, Kirk Gabriel Parson in 2008; and a sister, Nawasa Lafferty in 2013.
SURVIVORS – his wife, Cozy Parson of McLean; 2 sons, Justin Parson of Farmington, New Mexico and Jeff Faubion and wife Jill of Amarillo; a daughter, Carla Smets and husband Rob of Poteet; a brother, Allen Parson and wife Estella of Hereford; a brother in law, Frank Lafferty; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
MEMORIALS- The family suggests memorials be to Circle of Friends.
