INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon
Mrs. McAnear was born July 21, 1917 in Hasse, Texas, a small community in Comanche County to Mr. and Mrs. D.T. Smallwood. She lived in Hasse until she was 7 years old and then she moved with her family to the Brice community in Hall County in 1924. She lived in Brice until she married Jessie Granville McAnear on December 21, 1937 in Clarendon. She had been a resident of Clarendon ever since. She was a housewife and a mother.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her husband, on November 26, 1996; a daughter, Iva Jean Echols; her parents; & a sister, Claudine Todd.
SURVIVORS - 3 sons, Dwight McAnear and wife Sharon of Durango, Colorado, Ronnie McAnear and wife Melinda of Clarendon, and Freddie McAnear and wife Marsha of Pearland; a sister, Mamie Cross of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; & 13 great grandchildren.
