Rex Williams
Frank was my best friend since 1946. I am shocked & saddened to hear of his passing. Though we didn't see each other often over the years, we shared an unbreakable bond grounded in the caliche & dirt roads of the little burg named Alanreed. We crossed over old Hwy. 66 many times in pursuit of some imagined outlaw or wild horse. Myself, Frank, Benny Woods & Merl Emmet Hill roamed the dirt roads & hills around Alanreed at will. We played marbles, threw our pocket knives at lizards & hunted birds with our BB guns. Sometimes we hunted each other with them. We were all in love with Kay Stubbs & Betty Brown. Our relatives were all around at all times, the Hills, Crisps, Castleberrys, Darnells & others. If you go to the grave yard you will find it full of our ancestors. It was a wonderful time to be alive. Frank was a real man. I miss him now and will miss him forever. Goodbye my great friend. Your forever best, Rex Williams.
