SERVICES- 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2010, in the First Baptist Church in McLean with Rev. Norman Rushing, Pastor of Central Baptist Church in Pampa, and Rev. Kenneth Martin, Pastor, officiating.
INTERMENT- Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.

Frank Norris Simpson was born September 5, 1926. He was born in Gray County just west of McLean, Texas, to Edna Smulcer Simpson and James Melvin Simpson. He was one of 10 children.
Frank attended school in McLean and graduated in 1944 from McLean High School. After graduating he joined the United States Navy. Frank served 19 months as a gunner and was discharged at the end of World War II. He then enrolled at Texas Tech University.
After attending Texas Tech, Frank came home and worked for the Smith Brothers Refinery in Kellerville. In 1947 he went to work for the U.S. Postal Service, starting as a mail clerk and worked his way to Postmaster. He retired from the Postal Service in 1990.
Frank married Laura Jane Williams on June 16, 1951, and they had two children, Cynthia Gay and Curtis James. Frank enjoyed watching the McLean Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys play football. He always enjoyed supporting his kids and his grandkids in whatever activities they were involved. Frank was saved and baptized when he was 21 years old and has been an active member of First Baptist Church since that time. He served as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and Sponsor, and Church Treasurer. Frank loved the Lord and his church and was not ashamed to share the Gospel. A special thanks to his extended family of caregivers at the McLean Care Center.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ruth Simpson Howard, and five brothers, Floyd Simpson, Lloyd Simpson, Cecil Simpson, Bill Simpson and Edward Simpson.
Frank is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Gay Simpson Hill, of McLean, Texas ; one son, Curtis James Simpson, and wife Nancy, of Childress, Texas; a brother, W.C. (Flea ) Simpson, and wife, Rae, of Booker, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Simpson, and wife, Bonnie, of Hobbs, New Mexico; a sister, Jeanette Simpson Kennedy, and husband, W.C. (Bud) Kennedy, of Pampa, Texas. His grandchildren are Jennifer Hill Sorenson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Allison Nicole Hill of McLean, Texas; Meredith Simpson Ochoa, and husband, Jonathan, of Vernon, Texas; Seth Andrew Simpson of Lubbock, Texas. Great grandchildren are Lexie and Gracelyn Sorenson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Kaylee, Slayton and Lindy Ochoa of Vernon, Texas. There are a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and many special friends.
