Evelyn Louise Harlan's Obituary
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Evelyn Louise Harlan was born January 8, 1947 in Los Angeles, California. She passed away on March 5, 2015. She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Wear of Washougal, WA. And Francis McCarty of Washougal, WA and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Harlan and her mother, Rose Zahlke and one sister, Joann Langford. Evelyn was a Veteran of the Vietnam war serving in the Army. She served honorably and well. She was very proud of her service. She spoke eight languages. She loved to sing and play the guitar. She worked for Raytheon in Santa Barbara, California. She loved her dog, Uni. She lived in Australia for four years where she swam with the dolphins. She loved to tell the story of swimming with the dolphins to her friends and family. Her house décor was primarily dolphin oriented. She always had an open house and an open hand. She loved to help people. Although she never had children of her own, her nieces and nephews were like her own children. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
