Eula Charlene Rainey, 87, of Allison passed from this life on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in Wheeler Nursing and Rehab.
Services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 8, 2018 in the Allison United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Dyer and Bret Begert, officiating. Burial will follow at Zybach Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Charlene Parker Rainey was born May 21, 1931 on the Parker Farm in Hemphill County, Texas to George and Avis Markham Parker. She grew up in Allison and attended Allison School. She married Zeland Rainey on July 5, 1947. They made their home in the Sunray, Texas area. In 1952, they partnered with George and Avis Parker to form Allison Butane Equipment Company. Later in 1957, they returned to make their home in Allison. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Charlene was a member of the United Methodist Church. She loved her Church family, community, and country.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Zeland Rainey; her parents, George and Avis Parker; and one sister, Bonita Hamon.
Survivors include one son, Winston Rainey and wife Janette of Allison; two daughters, Teresa Dyer and husband Mike of Amarillo and Shronda Seamster and husband Les of Branson, Missouri; two grandsons, Scott Dyer and wife Kara of Nazareth and Nathan Rainey and wife Erin of Hutchinson, Kansas; two granddaughters, Danette Weller and husband Ron of Ransom Canyon, Texas and Amber Shutts and husband Matt of Fate, Texas; her great grandchildren, Emily Dyer, Brayden Dyer, Addie Dyer, Brooklyn Dyer, Grady Rainey, Airman 1st Class Zachary Weller, Trace Weller, Tabor Weller, Brit Weller, Sy Weller, Caycen Shutts, Jaxon Shutts, and Kazley Shutts; and a host of family and friends.
The family request that memorials be sent to the Allison United Methodist Church or the Harrington Cancer Center in Amarillo.
