Ernest (Rusty) Meral Moreland, 71, of Conroe died on Friday, July 30, 2021 in Conroe.
Graveside Services will be held in Citizens Cemetery on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00AM.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Ernest was born April 8, 1950 in Clarendon, Texas to J.T. “Tack” and Susie Bernese Rattan Moreland. He worked as a mechanic for many years prior to retirement. Ernest loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them and was always bringing gifts when he visited. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play games and making beef jerky for them. Ernest enjoyed gun collecting and shooting, buying snap on tools, Star Trek and Doctor Who. He also loved to bake and cook and anybody that knew him for 2 minutes knew he loved to tell stories.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Thomas Moreland in 2016.
Survivors include his parents, Tack and Bernese Moreland of Lowell, Arkansas; a son, Jason Moreland and wife Tory of Cleveland, Texas; a son, Eric Moreland and wife Dawn of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Hayden Moreland, Wyatt Moreland, Hunter Moreland, and Marshall Moreland.
