Erma Lea Tims' Obituary
Erma Lea Tims, 90, of Claude died Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Arlington.
Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 1, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Claude with Clyde Morgan and Rev. Dick Gravley, officiating. Private family burial will be in Claude Cemetery in Claude.
Viewing will be Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Robertson's in Claude.
Arrangements are by Robertson Claude Chapel.
Erma Lea was born July 5, 1929 in Clarendon to William Otto and Cora Foster Elliott. She married Dan Tims on September 6, 1947 in Memphis. Erma Lea’s great loves were her Lord and her family. She was a hard worker no matter the job, whether on the family farm or at the church where she served. Late in life she discovered she had a talent for painting and especially enjoyed landscapes. She leaves behind a community of friends and family she loved in The Panhandle as well as her most recent community of loved ones in the DFW area where she made wonderful memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Claude.
On April 30, 2016, Erma Lea lost the love of her life, Dan Tims.
She is survived by her children, Pam Forbes and her husband, Mike, of Arlington, Jerry Tims of Plano, 2 granddaughters and their husbands, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and their families, and one brother and his family.
Donations in her memory may be made to FBC Claude-Missions, 308 Parks Street, Claude, Texas, 79019.
