Elvira "Vera" Guzman Segura's Obituary
Elvira “Vera” Guzman Segura, 82, of Shamrock died Thursday March 15, 2018.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock with Mark Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Vera was born to Ben and Nancy Guzman in Laredo,Texas. There she was raised with her sister Olivia and 2 brothers Joe and Tom. Later she moved to Lutie, Texas. There she would soon marry the love her life Feliciano Lemon Segura in 1952. She was a loving and devoted mother to 8 children. Vera would then devote her life to raising and loving her family. She enjoyed cooking and never stopped cooking. She loved to plant flowers the more the better. She enjoyed singing and praising her God anytime she had a chance. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her lifetime she was the 5th generation 3 times. The most important thing in her life was her faith. She was saved at the age of 10. From that point on it was her mission to tell the world and pray for everyone which she did daily. Her love for her God was so big and pure. She was a true angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 son's Gilbert and Mike Segura; and 2 granddaughters Felicia and April.
She is survived by her husband Feliciano Lemon Segura of Shamrock; 4 sons Flecy and Terry Segura of Shamrock, Ben and Cara Segura of Amarillo, Johnny Segura of Bushland, and Leo Segura of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Patty and Mickey Cannon of Shamrock and Gracie and Buddy Payne of Shamrock; One sister Olivia Vasquez of Del Rio; And many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren who she cherished.
