INTERMENT - Claude Cemetery in Claude. Elizabeth was born October 21, 1917, in Armstrong County to Charles and Blanch Braddock Hamel. She married Jack Ray Dawkins on November 11, 1934, at Claude. She had been a lifetime resident of Claude & Armstrong County. She loved to sew and make stuffed toys. She was raised as a Catholic. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her husband, in October 1993; and a daughter, Bettye Eads. SURVIVORS - a son, D.L. Dawkins of Claude; one daughter, Lossie McGuyrt of Atlanta, Georgia; 2 brothers, Jim of Amarillo, & Andrew of Oklahoma City; 2 sisters, Edna of Amarillo, & Emma Lue of Albuquerque; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
