Edna Pearl Derrick Hermesmeyer's Obituary
CLARENDON SERVICES - Rosary will be said on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 6:00 pm in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarendon. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2007 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarendon with Rev. Arokia Raj "Raj" Samala and Rev. Mieczyslaw "Mitch" Prezepiora, officiating. INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mrs. Hermesmeyer was born October 1, 1923 in Clarendon to H. J. and Ruth Hastings Derrick and had lived in Clarendon most of her life. She married Frank Ruyle “Bud” Hermesmeyer Sr. on April 29, 1942 at Amarillo. She had worked various places in around Clarendon for much of her life and was very active in various community projects. She was a member of a local quilting club and of the Red Hatters Club. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarendon. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her husband on March 23, 2001; by 2 daughters, Judy and Jean; a sister, Margaret Nelson; and a brother, Frank Derrick. SURVIVORS - 1 daughter, Mary Jo Huseman and husband Bryan of Littlefield; 4 sons, Frank Hermesmeyer and wife Jeannie of Vancourt, Henry Hermesmeyer of Clarendon, John Hermesmeyer and wife Wynelle of Dumas, Paul Hermesmeyer and wife Margaret of Austin; a sister, Mary Harlan of Clarendon; a brother, Floyd Derrick of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center / 1500 Wallace Blvd. / Amarillo, Texas 79106
