MEMORIAL SERVICES – 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with John McQueen officiating.
VISITATION- Family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Robertson Funeral Directors in Memphis.

E.M. Sampley was born on May 5, 1938 in Millsap, Texas to John E Sampley and Ida Mae Brown Sampley. He married Billie McQueen on June 12, 1960 in Smyer, Texas. He moved from O’Donnell, Texas to Memphis 34 years ago. For most of his life he worked as a cotton ginner. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis. He enjoyed woodworking, welding, fishing, gardening, and tinkering. He was also a licensed preacher.
SURVIVORS – his wife Billie Sampley of Memphis; 2 sons Edward Sampley of Nocona, Texas and Rey Sampley and wife Laura of Memphis; 2 daughters Trudie Altman and husband Terry of Memphis and Janie Rogers and husband Bill of Artesia, New Mexico; 3 brothers John Sampley and wife Wanda of Lamesa, Texas, Marvin Sampley and wife Lois of Lamesa, Texas, and Edward Sampley and wife PJ of Lubbock, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
