Dudley Daberry's Obituary
Dudley Cecil Daberry passed peacefully from this life, at home with his beloved wife at his side, on October 19, 2024 at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 28 days. Services for our treasured husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock, with Mr. Cottie Tarbet officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Dudley was born on February 21, 1941 to Dewey Cecil Daberry and Jewel Hendrick Daberry in Shamrock, TX. He attended Shamrock schools before moving to Oklahoma City, OK where he pursued training and employment as a plumber and pipe-fitter with Local Union Number 344 in 1961.
He married the love of his life, Jamie Moore on July 20, 1979. Dudley and Jamie retired to Shamrock in 2000, raising cattle and farming. Dudley enjoyed everything about farm life.
Dudley never met a stranger and always enjoyed visiting with everyone. His smile was infectious and he enjoyed nothing more than good humor, a good cup of coffee and good friends.
Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Jewel Daberry from Shamrock; sister, Jimmie Lee Martin and husband Boone Martin from Wellington, TX; young son, Bradley James Daberry from Oklahoma City; and dear in-laws, James and Betty Moore from Shamrock.
Dudley is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jamie of the home; daughter, Leesa Gentry and husband Mike of Oklahoma City; daughter, Anja McDonald and husband Brook of Duncan, OK; his son.Dudley Craig Daberry and wife Jocy of Round Rock, TX; dear nephew, John and wife Melissa of Guthrie, OK; and numerous cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Shamrock Meals on Wheels.
