Duane Nichols' Obituary
Duane Nichols, 79, of Crowell, formerly of Clarendon died Friday, November 6, 2020 in Dallas.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in the First Baptist Church in Crowell with Jon Nichols, officiating. Private inurnment will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Duane was born February 12, 1941 in Crowell to Sherman Walter and Jessie Nichols. He married Wanda June James on June 10, 1961 in Crowell. He had worked for many years as a State Trooper for Texas Department of Public Safety and was a Lieutenant for Pantex Security until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Clarendon and Crowell Masonic Lodge where he was a Scottish Rite mason and a member of the Shriners. He was a deacon and a member of the First Baptist Church in Crowell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters, Wilbron Nichols, Eulalah Malone, and JoAnn Swan; and a son, Thomas D. Nichols.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Nichols of Crowell; his sons, Jon David Nichols and wife Kendra of Follett and Guy Dan Nichols and wife Karen of Irving; and his grandsons, Josiah Nichols of Lubbock, Thomas Nichols and Zachary Nichols both of Irving.
