Doyle William Watson's Obituary
MEMPHIS SERVICES- 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the Chapel at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Johnny Snider, pastor of the Travis Baptist Church in Memphis, and Mark Lance, minister of the Memphis Church of Christ, officiating. INTERMENT- Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Doyle was born August 30, 1934 in Hall County to Samuel Jack and Frances Lela Martin Watson. He married Louise Rogers, the mother of his children, and then later was married to Kathy Kenemore in May of 1987 in Childress. Doyle was a lifetime resident of Hall County and had worked at Memphis Compress for over 40 years. He was a hard worker took pride in the job that he performed there at the Compress. He was a Baptist and attended church at the Travis Baptist Church in Memphis. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents; 2 daughters, Cynthia Pritchard and Sandra Allison; and a sister, Carrie Rena Schussler. SURVIVORS – his wife, Kathy Watson; 2 sons Larry Watson of Perryton, Michael Watson and wife Amanda of Amarillo; 1 daughter, Debbie Stone and husband Tex of Memphis; 3 step sons, Keith Barnett and wife Millie of Amarillo, Allan and Jerry Barnett both of Memphis; 2 brothers Dorris Watson of Memphis, Sammy Watson of Lakeview; and 2 sisters, Katherine Sargent and Effie Murray both of Memphis; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - The family requests memorials be sent to a favorite charity of one’s choice.
