Dorthy Lee White Watson, 93, of Clarendon, Texas died Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Clarendon, Texas.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2024 in Quail Cemetery in Quail with Tom Anderson, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Dorthy was born December 3, 1930 in Quail, Texas to Ople and Vivian Tow White. Dorthy worked at the Wellington Leader where she met Bob Watson. She later married Bobby Jack Watson on September 19, 1953 in Wellington, Texas. She had been a resident of Shallowater before moving to Clarendon in 2000. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, cooking, and crafts. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Dorthy was a Christian woman and lived her life that way. She always lived by the golden rule. She was a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on October 23, 2021; and a brother, Rudell White.
Survivors include her son, Audie Watson and wife Leitha of Clarendon; her daughters, Tanya Gwinn and husband J.P. of Amarillo and Angela Gilliam and husband Stacy of Tolar; her brother, Donald White of Clarendon; her sister, Margie Scott of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
