DIMMITT / SHAMROCK SERVICES- 10:00 AM Friday, December 2, 2011 in the 11th Street Baptist Church in Shamrock with James Jones, officiating. INTERMENT- Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt and Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Dorothy was born October 7, 1921 in Wellington, Texas to Carl and Alma Breeden Seymour. She was the 1st of 13 children. She was raised in the Wellington and Shamrock communities. She married Charles. L. Stoner in Hollis, OK. on July 8, 1937. She worked at the hospital in Shamrock as a cook. She was a member of the 11st Street Baptist Church in Shamrock. She moved to Dimmitt in 2002. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles L. Stoner, a son Sammy Les Stoner and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Jessie Mae Morren of Lubbock and Diann Leatherwood of Dimmitt; one son, Charles Lee Stoner of Baton Rouge, LA; Four sisters, Barbara Ann Hill and Mary Euline Allen both of Shamrock, Edna Pearl Newkirk of Amarillo and Delores Marie Givens of Amherst; one brother, Newton B. (Cotton) Seymour of Rhome; Nine grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; and 10 Great-great grandchildren.
