McLEAN MEMORIAL SERVICES- 11:00 am on Saturday, December 12, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in McLean with Rev. Brian Quisenberry, Baptist Minister and Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating. CREMATION & ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Simmons was born October 30, 1930 in Shamrock to Olen and Ida Brock Davis and had lived in McLean most of her life. She married Grover Ted Simmons on March 12, 1949 in McLean. She and her husband were owners of several businesses at various times in McLean, Tulia, and other communities in the area. She had been very active in school and community events and organizations throughout her life. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church and had been very involved with the church throughout her life. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her husband on November 18, 2002 and by a brother, Kenneth Davis. SURVIVORS - a daughter, Susan Parsley of Amarillo; 2 sons, Mark Simmons of Alanreed and Ted D. Simmons of McLean; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston; the church of your choice; or a Shriners Childrens Charity.
