Donald Shadrick Bradley's Obituary
Donald Shadrick Bradley of Shamrock, TX passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 in Cedar Hills, TX at the age of 94 years, 4 months and 15 days. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 5, 2023 at Shamrock United Methodist Church with Rev. Jarrod Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Mr. Bradley was born on December 15, 1928 in Shamrock, TX to Patrick Shelby Bradley and Mollie Winnie Harvey Bradley. He grew up in Shamrock and graduated from high school in Samnorwood in 1946. He attended Texas Tech University briefly before entering and serving in the Army from 1950 until 1952. He then returned to Texas Tech and graduated in 1954. He married Nelda Ruth “Mickey” Wilson on December 26, 1954 in Amarillo, TX. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2016.
Mr. Bradley taught school for several years in Claude, White Deer and Samnorwood, while also spending some time ranching in Paducah for Shamburger. He later spent many years farming and ranching in the Shamrock area, finally retiring in 2010. He loved woodworking and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Helping Hands. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Shamrock.
Preceding him in death were his parents, spouse and one brother, Paul Carlton Bradley.
Mr. Bradley is survived by two daughter, Terri Schurr and husband, William of Dallas, TX and Sharla Blair and husband, Michael of Greenville, TX; one brother, Harvey Pat “Scooter” Bradley and wife, Marilyn of Wichita Falls, TX; two grandchildren, Allison Schurr and Michaela Blair, both of Dallas, TX; one great grandson, Oliver Schurr of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Shamrock Meals on Wheels or Shamrock Methodist Church.
