Don B. Taylor's Obituary
Don B. Taylor, 84, of McLean died Sunday, August 25, 2019 in McLean.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2019 in One Way Church, formerly the First Baptist Church, in McLean with Wayne Moore, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.
Visitation will be from 5:30 - 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Don was born September 16, 1934 in Lubbock to Joe and Edna Wilkinson Taylor. He married Betty Jean McClellan on May 31, 1953 in McLean. Don was a graduate of Texas Tech University where he obtained his bachelors degree in Animal Husbandry. He was a resident of Hereford before moving to McLean 20 years ago. While in Hereford, he had owned Allied Millwrights for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and rancher. Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church in McLean.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tom Ed Taylor; and a sister, Louvera Dilbeck.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Taylor of McLean; 2 sons, Jimmy Don Taylor and Vicke of Amarillo, and Scotty Mac Taylor of Lubbock; a daughter, Cynthia Smith and husband Ron of McLean; 2 brothers, Dan Taylor and wife Ticie of Colorado and Joe B. Taylor and wife Elaine of Hereford; a sister, Lynn Ellen Taylor and Diana Hamrick of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
The family request memorials be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
