Debbie Ann Cook, 74, of Memphis, Texas died Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Childress, Texas.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2024 in Robertson Funeral Directors Heritage Chapel in Memphis with Mark Lance, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Debbie was born March 21, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to Sid and Aleene Middleton Capshaw. She married B.H. Cook, II on May 15, 1971 in Abilene, Texas. She was a graduate of Abilene Christian University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree. She had been a Home Economics Teacher for Lakeview and Memphis schools for over 26 years. She was nominated for teacher of the year by Region 16, educator of the year from Girl Scouts, and was listed as Who's Who of Teacher for 4 years. After retirement, she continued teaching as a substitute teacher and was also a bookkeeper for the Lesley Co-Op Gin. Debbie's hobbies included golfing and going out to eat.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, B.H. Cook of Memphis; her sister, Carolyn Edmonds of Houston; her nephews, Sid and Jim Edmonds; and 5 great nieces and nephews.
