Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Amarillo with Rev. Jim Fox, officiating.
David Glenn Lowe, 56, of Amarillo, passed away on June 4, 2019, in Lubbock, Texas at 3:01 am.
David was born to Bill and Geneva Lowe on September 15, 1962, in Memphis, Texas. He grew up in Claude, Texas and was a graduate of Claude High School in 1981.
David was an independent truck driver for 25 years. For the past four years, he was employed by Highland Park Village as head of lawn maintenance.
He was very happily married to Susan Ennis Weaver. They were joined together on July 9, 2016.
He was a proud father to David Scott and step-father to Jayme, Mattie, Annie, Robyn & Bailey.
He was known as Papa Dave to his grandchildren Trevor, Dejana, Brayson, Kyleigh, Daxton, and Karma.
David loved taking trips with his wife, Susan, taking care of his yard, grilling, his dogs, Buster and Charlie, and sitting around with friends on the back porch. He was a lively storyteller and life of the party. David was a stranger to no one and a giver to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents, Bill and Carolyn Lowe, Marion and Geneva Maddox.
Survivors include his wife; sisters Jeannine Hermesmeyer (Frank) and Kathy Logsdon (Jimmy Lee); brother Jim Lowe (Janet); son David Scott Lowe (Taylor); step-children Jayme Thiessen (Brian), Mattie Huerta, Annie Green (Jason), Robyn Thompson (Billy) and Bailey Ennis; Grandchildren Trevor, Brayson, Kyleigh and Daxton Green, Dejana Thompson, and Karma Padilla; nieces Jacque Williams (Noel), Shelly Oliver (James), Laci Gerlach (Wayne); nephews Greg Hermesmeyer (Susan), JR Woodard (Marsha), Levi Lowe (Meagan); many stepbrothers and stepsisters, and a very special aunt, Ellen Wade.
