David Dalton May's Obituary
MEMPHIS SERVICES - 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Memphis with Rev. Brent Horton, family member, officiating. INTERMENT - Newlin Cemetery in Newlin. David was born December 23, 1920, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana to Corbie David and Dessie Lee Lewis May. He married Louise Potts in February of 1944, at Claude. David had been a farmer for many years and had been a resident of Memphis for over 80 years. He was a World War II Veteran where he had served with the US Army Air Corps. He was a Baptist. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - his parents; and 2 brothers, James and G.W. May. SURVIVORS - his wife, Louise May of Memphis; 2 daughters, Marilyn Jo Carter of Clovis, New Mexico, Jeanette Mitchell and husband Royse of San Angelo, Texas; 2 sons, David Dwayne May and wife Donna of Brenham, Texas, Donald Wayne May and wife Marcia of Flower Mound, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Body will be available for viewing at the Memphis First Baptist Church Chapel Tuesday from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, then again until service time on Wednesday.
