MEMPHIS FUNERAL SERVICES - 2:00 PM Monday, November 18, 2013 in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey officiating. INTERMENT - Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING. Mr. Goffinet was born September 5, 1944 in Memphis to William Frank and Lois Dell Richardson Goffinet. He had worked in law enforcement for many years while living in Oklahoma. In 1997, Dan moved from Sayre, Oklahoma and took a position with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in the Roach Unit at Childress. He married Rita Sue Fielding on January 8, 1999 in Childress. He was an avid gun and knife collector, was a leather worker, licensed gun and ammo dealer, and was a member of the NRA. Dan loved to mow yards and loved anything to do with hunting, shooting, fishing, or the outdoors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents; his wife, Rita Sue Goffinet. SURVIVORS – 3 daughters, Michele Janzen of Monks Corner, SC, Toni Johnson of Greenville, OH, Kristina Goffinet of Oklahoma; a sister, Juanella Pritchett of Dallas; 4 grandchildren, Madelynne and Justice Janzen, Brooklynn Goffinet, and Shelby Goffinet-Griffin.
