Cynthia “Cindi” Jane Wilson, 69, of Memphis, Texas, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Cindi was born on May 6, 1957, in Coffee County, Alabama, to Otto and Edna (Fillingim) Ward. She grew up in New Hope, Alabama, and graduated from Zion Chapel High School in Coffee County. She later went on to earn her associate degree.
Cindi began her professional career in the restaurant industry, managing and owning several establishments. She later devoted 35 years to the Texas Federal Inspection Service as a peanut inspector, ensuring quality and integrity in her work.
On July 2, 2004, she married William Larry Wilson in Milton, Florida. Following Cindi's career, the couple moved to Memphis, Texas, in 2005, where she became a beloved member of the community.
A devoted grandmother, Cindi loved supporting her Memphis Cyclone grandchildren and never missed a sporting event. Spending time with her grandchildren was the highlight of her life. She also cherished working in her yard, caring for her cats, and spending time at the beach. Known for her warmth and friendliness, she never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Wilson, in 2025, and her brother, Bill Ward.
Cindi is survived by her children, Lonnie Sirmons (Sonya), Christi Rotton (Keith), and Samantha Richardson; her sister, Olga Bundy (Rusty); eight grandchildren, Tanner Rotton, Briar Thompson (Ryleigh), Chance Richardson, Alex Sirmons, Mason Sirmons, Brittney Sirmons, Ty Sirmons, and Zack Sirmons; four great-grandchildren, Kayden Lett, Karter Lett, Zaileigh Caldwell, and Cypress Sirmons; her niece and nephew, Meg Cauley (Hunter) and Alan Bundy; and her great nephews, Brodie, Ryder and Lindsey.
Cindi’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
