Colleen Reck, 87, formerly of Claude, Texas died Friday, April 21, 2023 in Tyler, Texas.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Claude Cemetery in Claude, Texas with Rev. Dick Gravley, officiating.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Robertson's in Claude.
Arrangements are by Robertson Claude Chapel.
Colleen was born December 30, 1935 in Pampa, Texas to Gus and Lovie Elliott Mathus. She married Freddie Reck on June 30, 2000 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She had been a longtime resident of Pampa and worked for Cabot as a bookkeeper prior to her retirement. She later moved to Claude and withiin the last few years moved to Tyler to be closer to her family. She enjoyed flowers, yard work, and traveling. She took wonderful care of her mother and mother in law in their final stages of life. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2004; her brother, Leo Mathus; her sisters, Lucille Bond and Wilma Melear; her mother in law, Frances Reck.
Survivors include her brother, Danny Mathus and wife Bobbie of Tyler, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Heart to Heart Hospice, 7925 S Broadway Ave #1140, Tyler, TX 75703.
