Clydene Hall's Obituary
Clydene Hall of Allison, TX passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 in Canadian, TX at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 27 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Allison, with Jess Little and Gary Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Zybach Cemetery in Briscoe, TX. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Clydene was born on December 30, 1944 in Panhandle, TX to Bob and Marylu (Kinsey) Markham. The family soon moved to Allison, where she graduated from high school and would spend the rest of her lifetime. She married Lester Hall in New Mexico on September 9, 1961. He preceded her in death in 2015. Clydene loved her community and dedicated her life to making it a wonderful place to live. Though not officially elected, many considered her the “Mayor” of Allison because of her hard work and commitment to the town and its citizens. Clydene was a very patriotic person who showed great strength in the face of illness and other challenges throughout her life. She loved her entire family dearly, especially her grandkids and great grandkids, who called her Nanny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Marylu Markham; her husband, Lester; and 2 brothers, Jay Markham and George Markham.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Archer and husband, Bruce of Allison; 2 sons, Jim Bob Hall and wife, Jennifer of Allison and Chris Hall and wife, Colleen of Amarillo, TX; 12 grandchildren, Josh Archer and wife, Heather of Allison, Chelsea Archer and Leslie Archer of Oklahoma City, Grant Archer of Knoxville, TN, Kinsey Hall and wife, Elise of Pampa, TX, Krista Hall of Amarillo, William Martin and wife, Lucy of Lawton, OK, Tyrel Mayfield of Colorado Springs, CO, Josie Robison of Allison, Gilbert Cox and wife, Lauren of Amarillo and Ella Hall of Amarillo; 8 great grandchildren, Paisley, Easton, Jaxon, Lewellyn, Korbin, Linkyn, Greysen and Mason; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lee and Sharon Hall of Allison and Gary and Linda Hall of Amarillo; her dear friend who she considered a sister, Victoria Drake of Stratford, OK; and numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to any Volunteer Fire Department of your choice.
