SHAMROCK MEMORIAL SERVICES - 2:00 pm Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Shamrock, with Rev. Jarrod Neal officiating. Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Clifford Fred Hofmann was born April 29, 1933 in Shamrock to Ernest Clifford and Vivian Dale Williams Hofmann. After high school, he attended both Texas A&M University and the University of Texas to become a Mechanical Engineer. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. Fred lived most of his life in the Shamrock area where he worked, managed, and later owned his father’s family business, E.C. Hofmann Sales Co in Shamrock. He married Brenda Williams on April 26, 1968 in Panhandle. He was a past member of the Shamrock Rotary Club for 20 years, the Shamrock Booster Club for 10 years, and was a member of both the Shamrock Masonic Lodge #929 AF & AM and Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM. He enjoyed raising cattle and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shamrock. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents and his brother, Tommie Hofmann. SURVIVORS – his wife, Brenda Hofmann, of Shamrock; his son, Dr. Heath Hofmann and wife Erin, of Ann Arbor, MI; his daughter, Holly Middlemis, of Dallas; 2 sisters, Mary Lu Smithson and husband Rayphard, of Dimmit, and Ernestine Moore and husband J Weldon, of Keller; a brother-in-law, Roger Williams and wife Judy, of Hereford; 4 sisters-in-law, Robin Cummings, Kay Martin and husband Lewis, and Sheila Bulla all of Amarillo, and Lillian Hofmann of Allen; 3 grandchildren, Jesse Evers, and Grace and Lane Middlemis; and many nieces and nephews.
