Cleta Faye Davis, 78, of Conway, AR, died Thursday, August 20, 2020 in Creve Coeur, MO.
Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, TX. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon, TX.
Cleta was born September 3, 1941 in Memphis, TX, to James Marvin “Doc” and Eva Leon Nivens Kennedy. Cleta was a hardworking professional woman who dedicated over 34 years of her career to Franklin Electric, formerly known as Jacuzzi Brothers, in Little Rock, AR.
Cleta will best be remembered for her love of playing and coaching basketball, instilling values and fun into the Girl Scouts that she led, her fun-loving ways and her beautiful smile. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween. Cleta sewed costumes for herself, her children and grandchildren and loved to hand out candy at the hospital to all of the staff and patients. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Cleta was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Perry Glyn Kennedy, Cecil Hoyce Kennedy, and Marvin Carrol Kennedy.
Survivors include her two daughters, Taunia Rogers and husband Tom of Defiance, MO, and Michelle Simon and husband Gary of Conway, AR; grandson, Ryan Turner of Fayetteville, AR; two granddaughters, Samantha Stadter, and husband Matt Carey, of Little Rock, AR, and Kristian McMoran, and husband Ethan, of Lebanon, NH; two great granddaughters, Claire Turner of Benton, AR, and Hazel McMoran of Lebanon, NH; her sister-in-law, Ann Kennedy of Hedley.
Family request memorial to be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
