Clayton was the salutatorian of the class of 1962, a group that had attended school together for most of our twelve years. All my memories of Clayton include his quiet, unassuming manner; his quest for excellence in all that he attempted; and his quick smile. I did not know that Clayton had served in the military, but I was not surprised that he had chosen to perform his patriotic duty. He was loved.
clayton we be dearly missed by all
So sorry for your loss, Clayton was a very special man.
I will miss Clayton and his cheerful attitude. Always a smile and an encouraging word even if he wasn't feeling good himself.Madeleine Black
Clayton was a caring, sensitive, and creative man with rare talents that will be missed. He was a loyal friend with a unique sense of humor that often caught you by surprise. I often enjoyed drinking coffee with him at the Outpost.
Clayton was a good person, great friend, super classmate and he will be missed. His abilities were many and appreciated by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
We have enjoyed Clayton playing the piano at the First Christian Church for many years. He could play anything we picked out of the book. We will miss him.Regina Wootten
