Clara May Shults Hammond's Obituary
CLARENDON SERVICES - 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 13, 2005 in the Calvary Baptist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Rob Seale, Pastor, officiating. INTERMENT - Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Mrs. Hammond was born in Brown County, Texas and had been a Clarendon resident for more than 31 years. She married Oscar T. Hammond on December 30, 1933 at Memphis. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1984. She earned her LVN degree after she was 50 years old, and worked several years as a nurse. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clarendon Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. SURVIVORS - 1 sister, Ogetha Shults of Clarendon; one brother, Thomas Byron Shults and wife Cleta of Clarendon; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.
